GLMS publishes its Code of Conduct

GLMS published today its Code of Conduct. The Code applies to everyone engaged with the GLMS family, including members (individual and associate), partners, employees and Executive Committee Members. The Code was unanimously adopted by the GLMS membership base at the GLMS General Meeting in Buenos Aires on November 20.
GLMS, IOC and Argentinian officials discuss risks related to match-fixing

In a press conferences jointly organised by the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS) and the Association of Argentinian Lotteries (ALEA), in Buenos Aires, a series of high level speakers discussed issues related to illegal sports betting regulation and sport competition manipulations in Argentina, a country that has experienced over the last months a number of relevant scandals, notably in tennis.

GLMS signs agreement with the CoE to contribute to Group of Copenhagen’s monitoring activities

The GLMS and the CoE have signed ton June 22 an informal memorandum of understanding regarding the cooperation between GLMS and the Group of Copenhagen (GoC), the network of national platform created by the Council of Europe, as per article 13 of the Convention on the Manipulation of Sport Competitions CETS 215.
GLMS concludes agreement with Norwegian Gaming Authority

GLMS welcomes results of Swiss referendum on online gambling

GLMS and esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) join forces to safeguard the integrity of esports

Given the rise of esports betting at a global level, the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS) and the esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC), have stipulated an agreement with the objective of working together to identify and report any potential irregularities and suspicious betting patterns with regards to esports competitions.
GLMS statement on Independent Interim report on tennis integrity
The Interim Report of the Independent Review of Integrity in Tennis was published on Wednesday April 25. GLMS welcomes the recommendations of the Interim Independent Review and looks forward to further cooperating with the TIU towards its implementation.

UEFA slams Skenderbeu with 10-year European ban

Albania’s leading club KF Skënderbeu has been issued with a 10-year ban from European competition by UEFA for matchfixing. Skënderbeu were also handed a €1 million fine for fixing more than 50 matches. Skenderbeu were given a year-long suspension from European competition served in 2016-17 for matchfixing. That decision was upheld by CAS.

19 arrests in Spanish football match-fixing probe

At least 19 people were arrested in Spain on Monday (Feb 19) in an operation into alleged match-fixing in the country’s lower leagues, police sources said.
Arrests were made across the country, including in Barcelona, the sources said. The operation into alleged fraud and corruption is being led by a court in Zafra in the west of Spain.
